Friendquests
Friendquests are a type of sidequest in In Stars and Time. These make up the quests specific to main characters besides Siffrin, revealing more about their backstories and motivations. They first become available in ACT 3, and reward a Memory that boosts all of a character's stats by 30, as well as a special Skill. After a Friendquest has been completed once, the option to Zone Out during it is unlocked.
Completing all Friendquests and reaching the ending in one continuous loop is a requirement for completing ACT 3. Friendquests are only available in ACT 3 and ACT 4.

Mirabelle
- Main article: Mirabelle/Friendquest
Mirabelle tries to solve a crisis of faith using a secret set of papers.
Rewards for this hangout include the Memory of Faith and the Holy Care Shield Skill.
Isabeau
- Main article: Isabeau/Friendquest
Isabeau resolves to simply spend some time with Siffrin. This Friendquest can only be accessed if all other hangouts have been completed in the same loop first.
Rewards for this Hangout include the Memory of Stargazing and the WE WILL WIN!!! Skill.
Odile
- Main article: Odile/Friendquest
Odile attempts to locate a specific type of book known as a Familytale in order to complete her research.
Rewards for this hangout include the Memory of Secret Quest and the Craft Break α Skill.
Bonnie
- Main article: Bonnie/Friendquest
Bonnie wishes to grow stronger and protect their friends with Siffrin's help.
Rewards for this Friendquest include the Memory of Training and the Billion Blows Technique Skill.
Loop
- Main article: Loop/Hangout
Loop asks Siffrin to spend one loop with them to test their suspicions about Siffrin's looping ability.
Unlike Friendquests, Loop's hangout does not provide a tangible gameplay reward and cannot be repeated. However, it is also a requirement for completing ACT 3.

Skills
When given the option to zone out during the Friendquest, selecting (Yes.) skips the Friendquest and weakens the Skill obtained. Choosing to replay a Friendquest and then zoning out using the respective button does not have this effect.

Changes
Repeating Friendquests in ACT 3
If Friendquests are repeated twice or more often within ACT 3, much of Siffrin's internal monologue is shortened. Additionally, Siffrin may express different opinions on events internally, though they never voice these changed thoughts aloud.
ACT 3 to ACT 4
From ACT 3 to ACT 4, several changes occur in Friendquests that denote Siffrin's state. During each Friendquest, Siffrin's inner monologue comments on their various grievances with each quest. Additionally, many of Siffrin's portraits are replaced by "fake" portraits, denoting that Siffrin is increasingly acting out their emotions.
Repeating Friendquests in ACT 4
If Friendquests are repeated twice or more often in ACT 4, Siffrin's previous outbursts in monologue are shortened. Most thoughts before dialogue choices are replaced by "(Say the line, Siffrin.)". If Memory of Touch was obtained, Siffrin also calls himself disgusting in monologue in Isabeau's Friendquest.
Effects in a continuous loop
After all four Friendquest are completed and Siffrin continues through the House without looping forward, several changes occur:
- After reaching the ending, the player obtains the Memory of Family, which doubles experience gained for all characters excluding Siffrin.
- The dialogue during Snack breaks changes to reflect the characters' closer relationship.
- In the classroom on the second floor, interacting with the chalkboard rewards the Memory of Teaching
- After talking to the Head Housemaiden, the group begins to notice Siffrin's distress at looping back.
- A different variation of the scene plays when this scene is repeated three times.
Achievements
A total of 7 Achievements are tied to Friendquests. One Achievement each is awarded for completing a Friendquest for the first time and three more are tied to certain objectives on loops with all Friendquests completed.
