Loop's Hangout is a story event that is available in ACT 3 and required in ACT 4 of In Stars and Time.

Once Loop's hangout is completed, Siffrin receives a clue for what to do next, depending on the ACT they are in.

Summary

Siffrin, after discovering Time Craft and attempting to talk to the Head Housemaiden, theorizes with Loop about how he is able to wield Time Craft. After this conversation, Loop asks Siffrin if they want to hang out in order to test a theory that Loop has about Siffrin's looping.

When Siffrin returns to the favor tree to hang out with Loop, they ask that Siffrin hang out with his friends for the rest of the day, and sneak out of the Clocktower at early morning tomorrow. When Siffrin returns in the morning, Loop is sitting on top of the Favor Tree and asks Siffrin to join them.

Atop the tree, Loop asks Siffrin to tell them about himself. Siffrin instead insists that Loop already knows all about them, remembering that Loop knows almost everything about him, even before they met. Siffrin then asks Loop about themselves, to which Loop hastily declines. They continue talking about things they did during their loops, until the sun comes up.

Loop then mentions that the theory-crafting part of the hangout is about to arrive. Before Siffrin is able to ask, a bright flash of light signifying the King's first attack appears. Loop is aware that this attack shows Siffrin and his party a vision of the future, one so terrible it always kills them if Mirabelle does not cast her Adorable Moving Shield. Siffrin, noticing Loop's deadpan stare, panics and screams at themself for not being there. Because of this, he ends up looping back.

Upon looping back, Siffrin berates Loop for doing that to him, even drawing their dagger to attack. After calming them down, Loop mentions to Siffrin that they noticed that Siffrin does not loop back when he dies, and ask him to find out more about that.

What Loop tells Siffrin to do next is dependent on when in the story Loop's hangout is completed.

  • In ACT 3, without all Friendquests completed in the same loop: Loop tells Siffrin to help out their party.
  • In ACT 3, with all Friendquests completed: Loop tells Siffrin to find out more abut the King.
  • In ACT 4: Loop reminds Siffrin that they can now read books in his country's language.

Attempting to talk to Loop again in the same loop that this conversation occurs results in Siffrin walking away from the tree, thinking that they do not want to talk to Loop right now.

Guide

Requirements

  • Enter ACT 3.
  • Read the craftonomy book in Floor 1 of the House.
    • Only possible after talking to the King during battle and asking him the first three questions.
  • Talk to the Head Housemaiden at least once in ACT 3.
  • Talk to Loop again.

The order of these requirements is flexible. Whichever between the craftonomy book and the Head Housemaiden occurs last unlocks Loop's hangout.

Variations

At one point in the conversation, Loop brings up something Siffrin has done as a conversational topic. These are, in descending order of priority:

If Siffrin

  • is level 80 or above
  • checked 100 or more barrels
  • went fishing 15 or more times
  • received the Change God's blessing 10 or more times
  • slipped on the banana peel 10 or more times

If no conditions are met, Loop makes fun of Siffrin for their first death being crushed by a rock.

Additionally, if Memory of Memories has already been obtained by this point, Loop also brings up Siffrin looping back upon Bonnie's death when speculating about the loops' condition.

Rewards

Unlike Friendquests, Loop's hangout offers no rewards outside story progression itself.
